3. Materials

• paper plate (1)
• paper cups (2)
• coffee sticks (5)
• spoons (2)
• set of rocks (10 rocks)
• table salt
• boiled water
• tape
• magnifying glass (4)
• tray (1)

4. Procedure:

---

• boil water
• put 2/3 of table spoon salt in cups, then pour water in
• stir
• tape the 2 spoons on to the plate
• pour the water on to spoon
• let it rest for 1 day

5. Observations:

• turned into crystals
• little squares
• all clumped together
• different color from original salt
